QSI Almaty accepts applications throughout the year, and students are admitted based on space availability. Below is the list of the required documents that will uploaded into OpenApply.  All documents must be in PDF format. 

• Passport size picture
• Copy of Passport 
• Copy of School Records (from the last two years of school(s))
• Copy of Secondary transcript(s) for students 14 years old and older

Schedule a time to take the school’s placement test and sit for an interview with the Director of Instruction.

QSI Almaty Placement Test Information:

• QSI uses the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) computerized adaptive test to provide placement data.
• Students ages 5 and up will take the MAP entrance test evaluating the student’s knowledge in Reading, Mathematics, and Language Usage. All three tests are given in the English language.
• Students ages 8 and older also complete a written essay.

Results from the MAP tests are one way, but not the only way, in which we determine student readiness and placement.

We understand starting a new school can filled with mixed emotions. We match your child with a classmate to act as a “buddy” during their first days at school to help make this transition as smooth as possible.  

Parents will receive weekly AIS newsletters to stay connected to the school community, learn about upcoming events and opportunities to engage in the Parent Support Group.
